Office Retreat

Within a quaint office building in the charming neighborhood of Oakwood in Dayton, Ohio two separate offices were renovated and combined to create a bright, inspiring office retreat.

Pulling inspiration from my client’s professional background and passion for wine, warm textures from the cork veneer wallcovering and natural materials like the hardwood floors and walnut millwork were brought in while also blending some new furniture pieces with his existing pieces and art. Veins of deep blue in the quartz and in the mottled texture of the tile add a refreshing contrast and help balance the space.

Brand new millwork was added to create a zone for gathering with peers to talk shop or open a bottle from his distinguished collection. The hardware boasts a warm brass finish with hints of leather in the knobs and pulls that will develop a lovely patina over time.
